Spinal Mechanical Traction
Intersegmental traction table assists body healing by stretching the spinal bones to enhance fluid in the spinal discs, relax tense muscles, reduce pain, and improve blood flow. This is another one of Dr. Bakalis' favor therapies, he loves to lay on it after he is done adjusting patients for the day!
Our Clinic utilizes nonsurgical methods and procedures for our patients that improve spinal alignment, soft tissue mobilization, and vertebral disk traction to decrease nerve pressure, relax tight muscles, and decrease pain.
The use of intersegmental traction for the patient involves lying comfortably on the roller bed table that gently and effectively distracts and opens the disc spaces in the spine to enhance the healing process while decreasing pain. Muscle spasm and tightness in decreased, pain diminishes, and spinal function and mobility is enhanced and improved. During this traction procedure, you should not feel any pain or discomfort. You should experience a gentle consistent massage and stretching within your spine, while relaxing tension throughout your body.
