When a child is born and enters the world, it can be very traumatic process. Studies have shown that there is up to 90 pounds of pressure on a baby’s head and neck during natural birth and may have more pressure with a C- section.
This birth trauma can cause many spinal scars, cranial issues, and injuries to the head, neck and spinal canal. And if left untreated, this trauma could lead to a wide range of symptoms. Chiropractic adjustments are safe for even the smallest patients, including newborns. Our chiropractors will evaluate your child’s spine and perform gentle adjustments with either their hands or a small tool. Dr. George Bakalis performed Dr. Nicks first adjustment when he was four months old. Dr. Nick continues to receive spinal adjustments on a regular basis. Dr. Nick believes this being one of the main reasons why he has never broken bone or has had a serious sports injury, as well as never having a major illness his entire life due to the adjustments boosting the overall function of the body.
